Im Not Quite Sure

Just A Thought: From Alex Ostrowski's Note to Self book.

I haven't been doing anything productive or fun lately and because of that I'm not even sure what the day is. I'm pretty sure its Saturday though.
I watched 3 movies in a row last night. During the first 2 I was paying full attention then during the last one all I wanted to do was sleep, my sister fell asleep 10 minutes into it.

A couple days ago I finished a book I had been reading for the past month called I Was Told There'd Be Cake Essays By Sloane Crosley. If you like books about peoples lives and the things that happen to them during it, like I do, I recommend you read it. Its funny at times and serious too. I loved it.

"From accidentally despoiling an exhibit at the Museum of Natural History to siccing the cops on the wrong neighbor, Sloane Crosley can do no right, despite the best of intentions—or perhaps because of them. In a sharp, original storytelling style that confounds expectations at every turn, Crosley recounts her victories and catastrophes in an irresistible voice that is all her own, finding genuine insights in the most unpredictable places."

A Favorite

Jody Barton. Born in the UK, and educated in London, Jody has a way with the marker pen that is unique. He puts together classical drawing skills with wit and a crazy wisdom. His ideas and images are like tattoos for the mind. Once you've seen them - you don't forget them. Just calling it dark doesn't do his work justice, it's more like black. Jody's always trying to bring you more cynicism, more criticism, more insight, more rudeness and more sweet, sweet, nastiness.
He's one of my favorites!

These Days

All I've been eating is peanut butter waffles, and drinking coffee. I'm sure that's not to healthy.

Yesterday, my nine year old brother told me that my stepbrother told him that the reason why Chris Angel was magic was because he sold his soul to the devil. I didn't know what to say.

The weather today is quite chilly. I went to class this morning in shorts and froze by butt off. Luckily I had a jacket that kept me semi-warm.

Thought of the day: "Change is making the world a better place for everyone" from Lipstick For Change .

It was formed to give men and women the opportunity to show their support for Obama by puckering up for the camera and getting creative about what change means to them. They took to the streets of NYC this past weekend to find out what “Change is…” to the people of this city, and were overwhelmed by the response- it seems to have hit a nerve! So it’s time to bring the message to everyone…

Christmas Wish List Part 3

Part 3 of my Christmas Wish list. Now that Halloween is over that means just one more month till X-mas!

11.Via Appia Trousers; 12.Sovereign Shooties from Anthropologie

13.Beribboned Bag from Anthropologie. So Adorable

14. "Wish You Were Here" Shower Curtain from Urban Outfitters. Made up of overlapping images taken from vintage postcards. Featuring familiar retro images for exotic places such as Paris, Bermuda, Atlantic City and Alaska.

15. Blackbird Fly from Superheadz. This is a twin lens camera based on the classic Rolleiflex, complete with trademark top down viewer. The photos are distinctly old school too (square snaps shot on 35mm film.) Woo!16. Michael Beutler espresso cups and saucers at Illy. These designs are inspired by origami, like most of the man's work, and certainly add a splash of colour to the traditional white cups. They're also collectibles, with each collection only produced in limited numbers.

I really hope everyone voted today.

I'd Have To Say

That my Halloween was AMAZING! Best one I've had yet. Hard Haunted was so intense I'm still thinking about it. Soulwax, Simian Mobile Disco, 2 many DJ'S, Crookers, Boys Noize, they all were sooo good.

I just want to go back!
